The Dash To Disney.

Cynthia and I just spent a week in the Anaheim area of California visiting the usual tourist traps…Disney, Legoland, California Adventure, Universal Studios, etc. etc., places we’d been before, many years ago. The big difference in our visit this time was that we had the pleasure of watching, and being part of, our family interaction with two young grandchildren.

We couldn’t have gone at a busier time of the year, and yes we had some long waits, frayed tempers and some tears…shed by Grandpa, BUT, we also had some marvellous times of pure enjoyment.

Legoland was a disappointment for me after visiting the original in Denmark, but the California Screamin’ roller coaster ride was the best I’ve ever ridden by a long shot.

Universal Studios was great, and the tram ride with all it contained was fabulous.

Obviously we might have seen more with more time and less people. However, one of the workers in the parks said that over the past few years, crowds seem to be huge any time of the year. The main thing was that as a family we had a great time together and I can’t thank Cynthia, Ben, Josée, Tim, Andi, Charlotte and Oliver enough for making it such a fabulous week.

Goodbye for now and God bless.

    • Indeed a great time Maurice. Wonderful to have all the clan there for a week and now be able to spend time with oldest son and wife for another two weeks.
Enjoyed your latest post re pros/cons of technology.
Hope you are able to dig out after recent bad weather.
      Best wishes. Martin
