Hello everyone…As you can see we are in Killarney and having one heck of a good time. This post will be short. Because of limited internet access on the ship, I kept a diary of the trip. Now we are in Ireland I have updated the post I sent you on Sept. 10th. It updates the blog to today, when we drove the Ring of Kerry. If you wish to, after receiving this, you can look above the title of this post and see
If you click on this line, or the one above the title Trip Update From Killarney, you can scroll back through the blog and read as much or as little of our trip as you wish. From now on, all posts will be very much shorter as we have ‘net access. When we get home, I will load ALL pictures for you to see if you wish. Goodbye and God bless.

The Ring of Kerry brings back memories. On one of my hitch hiking epics 52 years ago I got picked up by a South African couple. I was at that stage enjoying the country and the people so much. The SA’s turned out to be a couple of bigoted Boers, with no interest in the country or the people. While I was grateful for the free ride, I had to put up with carping comments all day. I remember the most ridiculous one so well. As we looked out at the grey Atlantic Ocean, they volunteered the opinion that they had bigger lakes than that in SA. They didn’t realise they were looking at the Atlantic! I didn’t enlighten them, but that incident was indicative of the sort of day I had with them.
We can certainly do with avoiding those types Pont. On way home today. In Comox tomorrow after an overnighter in Vancouver.
Cheers,
Mart
